MUSIC PROGRAM BY COLLEGE OF NURSING AND ALLIED SCIENCES

Guru Pournima eve,  featured two speeches and a musical offering by the students of  College Of Nursing, SSSIHMS, Whitefield, Bangalore this evening here at Prasanthi Nilayam.

Speaking first, Sri Amaya Deshpande, Doctoral Research Scholar, Dept Of Management Studies, SSSIHL, Prasanthi Nilayam gave an oral demonstration of how one should follow His Footprints to be a Sathya Sai Student.

Beginning with a flashback reminiscence from a Kodai evening with Baba, the speaker said quoting Baba, the rarest phenomenon in this world is To Know....To Love....To speak  ...and to Serve......

Dwelling on the greater import of the epochal 1st Bhajan ever sung by Bhagawan Manasa Bhajare... Amaya said, quoting Baba, that the real Pada Puja is to walk the footprints of Baba. 

To walk that Path one needs to have intensity and consistency, said Amaya reminding that His real students are the ones who choose to walk His path by following His teachings and not the ones who studies in the Sathya Sai Institute.Thus everyone stands with a chance to be a Sathya Sai Student.

The next speaker Sri Manoj Kotekar, member, SSSNCE, Sri Sathya Sai National Council For Education, spoke of the progress and achievements made in the field of Sathya Sai Education being pioneered by Institute Of Sathya Sai Education under the auspices of Sri Sathya Sai Seva Organisations, India.

This was followed by a bouquet of songs by the students from the College Of Nursing and Allied Health Sciences, SSSIHMS, Whitefield, Bangalore on the theme "Guru Sadhguru Jagadguru".

'

The three day celebrations sponsored by the All India Seva organization of Maharashtra and Goa as a preamble to the Guru Poornima celebrations of this year concluded this evening with a musical performance titled " Quantum Signature of God - Confluence of  Science & Spirituality" a music presentation by Shri Ganesh Atre & team.Brilliantly combining Scientific Enquiry and Spirituality this was truly a signature performance by Ganesh Atre,who incidentally is an alumni of the Sathya Sai Institute of Higher Learning.

The presentation attempted to blend Spirituality and Science and Music to unveil the Truth that Science can cross its comfort zone, experiment, to experience to understand and explain God. When man turns inquisitive he poses innumerable questions and today's programme was organised in a question and answer pattern interspersed with musical delight, dwelling into the subjects referred to in the answers provided by Sri Atre.

Girish Atre, an alumna from the very first batch of Prasanthi Nilayam Campus, of 1979, is an accomplished musician with a flair for research. His comments were crisp and all related to the confluence of Science and Spirituality. How, standing atop the Eifel Towers helps one to get a complete view of Paris, similar way, standing atop the Eifel Tower of  Science the programme attempted to explain Spirituality...and the programme ended with an answer that Quantum Signature of God is God's Pure Love, that is the base of everything, the Force behind all forces. During the one hour programme Girish Atre touched upon various scientific theories attributing to legendary scientists with the probability theory of understanding spirituality with the help of science.

Meaningful songs that came as interlude with great import were:  Tejomaya NaadaBrahma Ho..., Nirmanom Ke Paavana Yug Mein..., Maata Kaali Kaa..., Yahaam Sai Vahaam Sai Har Jagat Sai Sai..., Teraman Darpan Kahlaaye..., Ghat Ghat Mein Panchi Bolta (Kabir), Laagom Mein Royaaru Fakiri Mein... (Kabir) etc.  Girish Atre was accompanied by Suvarna Mategaekar and Ketaki Mategaekar on vocal, Parag Mategaekar on Harmonium, Amruta Dewekar on the Keyboard and Amit Kunte on Tabla..

Girish Atre is incidentally the first bhajan singer, who was blessed by Baba to sing the first ever bhajan in Prasanthi Mandir..

ASHADI EKADASHI FESTIVAL BEGINS 2013

Marking the beginning of the three day Festival sponsored by the Sathya Sai Seva Organisation (Maharashtra and Goa),Kulwant Hall witnessed this evening a unique musical offering entitled Divine Heritage by the  Balvikas children from the twin states of Maharashtra and Goa Declaring that our real heritage is the Divine Heritage,  the presentation was a depiction of the  diverse cultural heritage of Goa. Beginning with the original  legend, the tale connected to Lord Parashurama, even as the presentation progressed.Children  in colourful costumes, from the state danced forward presenting an array of unique festivities with detailed explanation of the legend behind each festivity..
